Family/Victim advocate for survivors of domestic violence, rape/sexual assault, and child abuse. Providing services to clients in Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton, Hampton, and Allendale counties. Providing hospital accompaniment. Serving as supervisor on call for night advocates.

I facilitate multi-session educational workshops with middle and high school aged youth throughout Beaufort and Jasper counties in the schools and at youth organizations. The groups promote violence prevention, challenge gender stereotypes for gender equality, and enhance positive leadership skills. The topics discussed deal with bullying, dating violence, domestic violence, rape/sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and healthy relationships/boundary setting.

I worked both within the micro and macro fields. Within the micro field I worked with the case managers in the shelter to assist with the clients in the shelter. I complete client intakes, and had several meetings with clients to make sure they were utilizing all the resources available to them in order to re-establish their independence upon their time to exit the shelter program. Within the macro field I worked with the community educator and helped to set up several domestic violence awareness events. I connected with and established a professional relationship with the magistrates in the four counties that CODA serves to assure a successful execution and participation of the events.
