Together with my partner Rob Bruls, I am the driving force behind law firm Exaten. Inspired by clients' repeated remarks that we are "not your typical lawyers", we have made that remark into our mission statement. That is to say: top-quality legal work, with normal language, personable manners and realistic billing. We strive to achieve the best possible result, both in the short term and in the longer term. This often means good advice and prevention, as well as mediation and support in negotiations. In doing so, we can resolve cases quickly and effectively, often without a case reaching court. Within our firm, I focus on general civil practice. From my beta background, I can reach a level of exceptionality for lawyers in cases involving technical aspects, such as construction cases or industrial liability, by being able to make the translation from the technical expert to the usually completely a-technical judge.
