Euresearch informs and advises about the participation in European Research and Development Programmes (such as Horizon Europe) and facilitates Innovation partnerships in Europe. I was the national contact person between the European Commission and the research community in Switzerland for several specific programmes within the Framework Programs for Research and Innovation of the European Union: the European Research Council (ERC), European Research Infrastructures, the Joint Research Centre of the EU (JRC) and Social Sciences and Humanities.

Actionuni is the umbrella association of the university associations of young academics. I'm a co-founder and was co-president and member of the board of this successful association. In 2007 the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER) mandated Actionuni to carry out a survey on the situation of young academics at the Swiss universities and ETHs. Prof. Takashi Yano invited me for post-doctoral studies and offered me a fellowship from Kumamoto University, Kyushu, Japan. During this one year stay in Japan, I not only deepened my knowledge in methodology and statistics, but learned a lot about Japanese culture. It was an extremely rich year in terms of friendship, international experience, and Japanese daily life.

CEST (Center for Science and Technology Studies) was a part of the Swiss Science Council. I was responsible for a survey on technology transfer at publicly funded research institutions in Switzerland.

During my PhD studies, I was employed at ETH Zurich, Institute of Hygiene and Applied Physiology. I collaborated on the Swiss Noise Study 2000 (Lärmstudie 2000). I managed, conducted, and administered a survey involving more than 3,000 subjects, including design, data analysis, and reports. I was active in a politically very sensitive subject. Many peer reviewed publications and proceedings and invitations to scientific and public conferences and hearings.
