I am Katlego Khanyisa, professionally known as The Blacc_Kat in the boxing world—a nickname that symbolizes my journey as the "black sheep," taking an unconventional path out of Tembisa to pursue a career in boxing. As a two-time SA Amateur Boxing Champion, I have proudly represented South Africa both nationally and internationally, achieving milestones such as winning silver at the Mauritius Amateur Championships and having my second professional fight televised on ESPN Africa.I started my boxing career at Kempton Park Boxing Club, where I continue to give back as a mentor, helping to develop young talent and nurture the next generation of champions. The discipline and guidance I received from this club were instrumental in shaping my journey, and I am committed to paying it forward.My short-term goal is to win the IBF Intercontinental Championship in 2025, paving the way for my ultimate ambition of becoming a world champion. Long-term, I aspire to establish a world-class boxing gym in Tembisa, creating opportunities for young athletes to follow their dreams.
