Bakubung Platinum Mine Project (Wesizwe)-2015-2017Ammaroo Phosphate bankable Feasibilty StudyKatlego was responsible for populating line lists and equipment list for different units of the project. He also did a feasibility study on the wastewater treatment plant to check how reverse osmosis can be applicable and how WP can assist in the development of PIDsOman Project-Pump Sizing(various sump pumps)Zimplats Feasibility Studies(Development of P&IDs, PFDs)Natref May and June 2018 Shutdown (Sasolburg)Katlego was chosen to assist Natref engineers with dirty, intermediate and clean inspection for a variety of equipments within the petrochemical plant. He also learnt how to do catalyst loading for big and small reactors as well as loading of the reformers. During this process he witnessed a lot a pre-bundle reinstallation inspections for tube and bundle heat exchangers process engineering to ensure bundle orientation is correct and that the shells were clean. He also had to sign the ready for box-up certificate before the bundle could be installed.HF Cloud Mitigation Project(NATREF 2018)- Katlego was involved in an HF Cloud Mitigation project where he was responsible to design a centrifugal pump as well as the spray monitors that surround the alkyl plant that is emitting the hazardous HF gas.

NATREF CLEAN FUELS II(September 2013-March 2014)The purpose of the NCFII Project is to develop,design and build new process units on the Natref site in Sasolburg to meet the legislated fuel specifications(Euro V)as promulgated by the government.Katlego assisted on the following units of the project:New C6/C7 splitter for pre-fractionation of benzene precursors from CDU full range naphtha and DHC LSR naphtha and to minimize C7's in the feed to the new Isomerisation unit.New reformate splitter for post-fractionation of benzene from the Platformer product stream;LSR hydrotreater unit(Axens technology) to remove sulphur from the feed to the Isomerization unitC5/C6 Isomerization with a deisohexanizer recycle (Axens technology) to improve the octane of the LSR naphtha and to saturate benzene from the Platformer.LFCC selective delphurization (Axens technology) to reduce the sulphur content of the Fluid Catalytic Crackling unit gasoline whilst minimizing octane reduction;Diesel Unifier revamp to meet Euro V specification and increase capacity to allow increased crude processing capacity in the refinery.A new Amine Absorber column in the LPG merox area to reduce sulphur breakthrough to the butamer and Alkylation units;A new Hydrogen production plant to provide the additional hydrogen required for sulphur removal and benzene saturation Utilities,offsite and other infracstructure additions and modifications are required to support the new and modified units as per CEP Package.SAPREF RHINO PROJECT II(July 2013-August 2013)Rhino Clean Fuels II Project (Sapref) Basic Engineering Package and Bridging -Diesel hydrotreating UnitSASOL Growth ProjectSasol Growth Separation Project is one of the projects that Fluor has executed in the previous years; however a scope upgrade was performed to rectify certain equipment and instruments.Katlego was responsible for performing the hydraulic check up on the pressure relief valves and preparing the MOC.
