Marketing And Sales Manager
Saaremaa Morrad Plc
Kuressaare, Estonia
My experience in the field started in 2016, during my academic year from University to gain more practical experience in the subject I was studying - business. The business that I started working for was located in Estonia, and it was a niche company that made fishing nets and gear for fishermen. I started out as a line worker to learn how to make the products, but very quickly I was trusted to take over the whole marketing and sales department. The company loved my marketing knowledge and skills on different platforms as well as my willingness to be persuasive enough to double the revenue in a very short amount of time. My tasks consisted of developing a marketing strategy, putting together campaigns, being in contact with either existing clients or taking on new customers. Since I have a former experience working as a door-to-door salesman, my communication skills and selling techniques came in handy to keep them coming back for more. I was in charge of the social media, we were always represented in all the related events, I designed the website and the logo, etc. I also took on accounting, hiring/interviewing new employees, and if needed I also trained the beginners. Working over there helped me get a lot of insights within the industry, as well as to put all the knowledge gained from University into practice. I was a very hands-on employee that helped wherever and whenever it was needed, even if it was not expected from me. I continued working there even after coming back to England to finish my University. By then I knew the whole process of the enterprise well enough to get the job done from a different country. My services for the organisation stopped after I graduated University and went travelling.
