Our internal mitigation workstreams achieved an overall organisational carbon footprint reduction of 23% during my involvement, with the biggest reduction seen in natural gas use that dropped by 60%. * Building relationships and working collaboratively both within the organisations and externally with our key partners and stakeholders. * Writing submissions, award application, project proposals, media releases, speaking notes and a wide variety of other documents. * Winning the Horizon Energy Group Business Excellence Awards - Sustainability Award for WDC's climate work in 2021. * Developing WDC's climate change e-learning hub as a knowledge hub on a range of climate change related topics. * Keeping abreast of national and international direction in the climate change space, whist helping to communicate a local understanding and awareness of the impact of climate change on the Whakatane District across our communities.https://www.whakatane.govt.nz/climate-change
