Prof. Dr. Katrien Termeer (katrien.termeer@wur.nl) is professor of the governance of transformative change of foodsystems, at the Public Administration and Policy Group at Wageningen University. Her research addresses the governance of wicked problems in the interconnected policy domains of climate change, sustainable food systems, sustainable global value chains and a responsible use of natural resources. She studies new forms of governance to enhance sustainable development, varying from self-governing communities and public private partnerships to global round tables and private certifying systems. She developed the “small wins” approach to analyze the governance of transformative change. She uses research findings for co-designing innovative governance arrangements and developing action strategies.
