I teach the following courses: strategic management; public, private and third sector management; international project management; entrepreneurship, social innovation. My research focuses on social entrepreneurship, social innovation, strategic management and innovation in the public sector.

Social Entrepreneurship MA programme is a global educational initiative of Tallinn University with the aim to promote entrepreneurship and innovation of the social and health sector, environmental protection, urban, rural and community development. The program provides a flexible opportunity to develop impactful business ideas using the innovative and business friendly infrastructure of Estonia and being supported by experts of Tallinn University.

The WoWeC cluster aims to address well-being challenges in today's work environment. The lack of focus on people's well-being, brought about by the changing nature of work, is leading to a significant disconnect in society. With the cluster, we can provide the knowledge and expertise to address these challenges and learn how to create inclusive workplaces and healthy communities. We value the acceptance of diversity and uniqueness. The Cluster will focus on creating systemic change towards a more diverse society with increasing self-organisation and hybrid models.

The project aims at co-creating smart rurality with and for an aging population. It connects research on ‘smartification’ and exclusion.

The European Social Innovation Campus (ESIC) contributes to the challenge of the upskilling and reskilling of the workforce and entrepreneurs to tackle the green and digital transitions in the social economy by boosting social innovation capacities. The project boosts the provision of new skills and addresses skills mismatches by creating a new Core Curriculum for the social economy to vocational education levels.

The project aims at creating better and more supportive regional ecosystems for social innovation (SI) and social entrepreneurship (SE) and making existing innovation support more accessible for social entrepreneurs. It explores the concept of “clusters of social and ecological innovation” (CSEI), develops and tests a programme to improve the capacity of innovation support actors to foster social innovation.

The project explores how businesses can cope with potential crises in order to support not only economic development but also societal well-being in a digital world.

The project aims at sharing best practices and expertise from Estonia in the sector of Social Entrepreneurship and career management for the inclusion of disadvantaged youth, developing a social entrepreneurhsip incubator in Georgia and organising train the trainers programme.

The aim of the project is to generate evidence-based theoretical and practical knowledge on how the social and solidarity economy can support resilience, social inclusion and wellbeing in rural Europe. Building on the research findings, it aims to provide insights and recommendations on the framework conditions and policy arrangements needed to promote the sector.

The National Competence Center for Social Innovation is network-based centre bringing together stakeholders - policy makers, experts and practitioners - to work together to shape the Estonian social innovation (SI) ecosystem and support SI development in Estonia

The project aims at revitalising depopulated areas by stimulating entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills; creating local living laboratories, experimenting new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches in teaching and learning.

Impact assessment of the universities, cooperation between the academic and private sector

The main goal of the project is to achieve cooperation between various sectors and stakeholders in developing the current situation of social entrepreneurship in Estonia. Tallinn University will pilot a Social Entrepreneurship Incubator and carry our surveys on social enterprises.

The CoSIE project contributes to democratic dimensions and social inclusion through co-creating public services by engaging diverse citizen groups and stakeholders. Utilizing blended data sources (open data, social media) with innovative deployment of ICT (data-analytics, Living Lab, Community reporting) in nine pilots, the project introduces the culture of experiments that encompasses various stakeholders for co-creating service innovations. Tallinn University pilots an innovative social hackathon model in Võru County together with Võru Development Agency.

The aim of ProVaHealth is to create a better collaboration between health living labs in the Baltic Sea Region to ensure smoother access for health SMEs to their services.

I'm a validated Urbact Expert on social innovation and social entrepreneurship. Urbact programme promotes integrated development to support cities to implement horizontal and vertical policy integration.

In Brainport Living Lab we create networks between private, public and academic sectors for enhancement of innovation in services and products. We do this by finding relevant partners, international networks and funding for the projects. We offer services from strategic planning and project writing and management to organization of international trainings and events.

The global network for "Multi-disciplinary innovation for social change" links social impact businesses, policy-makers, academia and citizens together to influence the way students are educated at universities and policies are formulated and solutions turned into sustainable businesses.

The main activity of Reimann Retked consists of organising sea-kayaking trips to Estonian small islands. In autumn and spring we arrange rafting trips on the rivers of North-Estonia. We organise all-year-round bog-shoeing tours to North-Estonian mires and forests. Snow-shoeing and kicksledding trips take place in winter. Our trips are suitable for young and senior adventurous hikers and previous experiences are not necessary. Estonian nature, culture and history can be best explored with Reimann Retked.

Brussels

The aim of the project was to provide data and analysis for regional and local planners, through joint work and co-learning in transport and urban planning for the Helsinki-Tallinn twin-city region by linking academic research with public and private actors on both sides of the Gulf; to produce scenarios of the best modes of transport for the competitiveness of Helsinki-Tallinn twin-city region; create a road-map for strategic projects and a visualization tool for planners on transport and infrastructure projects in Helsinki-Tallinn region.

Euregio is a cross-border cooperation organization between Estonia and Finland. In the organization I was leading the strategy processes, initiated, compiled and managed interregional and international development projects; organized international conferences and networking events as well as PR activities.

EBS is a private business school of university standing, offering Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate level programs in the field of business administration, public administration and information technology management.I did my research on management of cross-border cooperation activities and organizations and their role on regional development.
