Science And Technical Services Project ManagerLeidos, Asc May 2022 - PresentColoradoLeidos ASC provides the Science Planning and Implementation support for over 100 Science events and projects each year while maintaining and operating three geographically remote research stations. At each of the stations (McMurdo Station, Palmer Station, and South Pole Station) as well as deep field research sites and global class Research Vessels we support science from planning of resources, providing logistics, supporting aviation requirements and though science project close out. Each location supports world-class research as part of the NSF Mission and supports over 1300 people living, working and performing research across Antarctica.The Science and Technical Project Services (S&TPS) Manager leads the integration of S&TPS into the rest of the Antarctic Support Contract: including, 1) directing the processes and full scope of the science event planning though execution and close out:, 2) leading teams that perform science planning though implementation, laboratory management and safety, technical diving, and laboratory instrument repair and support; 3) key point of contact for NSF Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics Section Head and well as Activity Based Managers for all science activities.

The Global Seismographic Network is a cooperative partnership between IRIS (funded by NSF) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), coordinated with the international community, and is a global, multi-use scientific facility that provides a social resource for Earth observations, monitoring, research, and education. Other responsibilities include preparing annual plans and budgets ($3 million) and multi-year program proposals and budgets for the portion of the project funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF); represent IRIS and the GSN, as appropriate, with external organizations including NSF, USGS, other federal and state agencies, international communities, and the FDSN. -
