Executed Two Rivers' vision for special education at the campus level. Served on school leadership teams and share in the duties of running the special education program. Facilitated IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Assisted in the planning and facilitation of high-quality professional development for special education teachers, including, IEP development, data analysis, and inclusive instructional strategies. Supervised related service providers and dedicated aides to ensure that students have high-quality experiences. Served as the face of summer school leadership during the 2021 summer program. Brought over 300 students on campus for summer programming. Responsible for planning semester-long scope and sequences for new special education teachers (corps members). During the (2014-2015) school year, I provided specialized instruction for students in 4th grade both inside and outside of the general education setting. I was responsible for case management duties, co-planning units with general education teachers, co-lesson planning with general education teachers, and leading a professional development session on Behavior Intervention Plans. I also taught Extended School Year during the summer of 2015 for 3rd-7th graders.

I assisted the Special Education Teacher in helping 5th Grade students with various subjects, including: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I worked with small, rotating groups of students, helping them better understand concepts on a daily basis. I also oversaw the students taking tests, read the questions to them if they need it, as well as clarified questions if it was necessary.

As a Program Assistant I help out in the FAM for Change office, help with program development, and program planning.

I mentor a high school student from Brockton High School and have for the past few years. The mission of the Friends and Mentors for Change Mentoring Program (FAM) is to improve our youth's academic achievement, social competence, and avoidance of high-risk behavior by providing influential relationships with caring mentors who work to help the mentees achieve their maximum potential. FAM for Change works to empower our youth to serve as leaders in our community, advocate for social justice, engage in our democracy, make positive life choices, and realize their full potential.

The Social Innovation Program (SIP) at George Mason University is part of George Mason's new Center for Social Entrepreneurship. It is an intensive six week experiential program that transforms idealistic college students into leading professionals.The first two weeks feature daily coursework focusing on core concepts of organizational leadership, social entrepreneurship and community change. During the rest of the program, participants are trained in teams by seasoned social entrepreneurs to apply their new skills to solve real world challenges presented by local community organizations.
