As the founder and Education Advocate of Empowered Pathways, I have almost 12 years of experience in the educational field, ranging from Special Education teacher to Campus Director of Special Education. I have a Masters of Education in Special Education. My mission is to help students and families achieve their educational goals and access the support they need, by providing guidance, tools, knowledge, and encouragement to navigate the complex and sometimes overwhelming IEP process. I am a presenter for the Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN) and a Special Education Surrogate Parent for children in State Custody. I provide Advocacy services through the Jessie Fund in partnership with FCSN. I am on the leadership team with my local SEPAC in Pembroke. I was elected for the Pembroke School Committee in May of 2024. After winning that election I ran the campaign for a candidate running for State Representative. I leverage my expertise in special education, child learning development expertise, and community leadership, to empower parents and caregivers to advocate for the needs of their children and those in their care. I believe in the power of showing up and having authentic conversations across lines of difference. I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of the families, schools and communities I am a part of.
