Capable and hard working career changer seeking a developer position. I enjoyed the work in web development I did in university and am excited to get back into the field. I am bringing communication skills honed in five years of teaching and a love of learning to be utilized by a company that I am eager to make a positive contribution to.-Created a Computer Science curriculum for grades 6-10 when hired as International School Augsburg's first full-time Computer Science Teacher.-Created a Time-Tracking website for internal office use to keep track of developers' hours worked on different projects. Before this employees were expected to send an Excel file every month to one person who consolidated that data and added it to a master Excel sheet. I parsed through that Excel file to clean it and import it into a SQL database. I designed and developed the website and it became the new way employees submitted their project work hours.-Environment Canada hires a large amount of co-ops so there is a lot of turnover. My communication skills demonstrated in my clean code and reports to supervisors impressed them enough to task me into making an introduction guide for future co-ops.-At XE.com, the project I and the other co-op were given was to make an application that would receive texts or emails, parse through it to identify the currency conversion being requested, then replay back with the correct and current data.
