Katrina Lopes is the president of KL Management, whose roster includes platinum selling, Juno Award winning artist/producer Shawn Desman, soul artist/film composer/Sephora collaborator TiKA, pop singer/songwriter Kayla Diamond, artist/producer Josh Sahunta and Columbian singer/songwriter and composer Sol Escobar. KL has also worked with Family Channel stars Josh Bogert (of the show “Backstage”) and Sarah Carmosino (of the show “Lost & Found”). KL Management clients have toured with internationally renowned acts including Backstreet Boys, Selena Gomez, opened for acts including NAO, John Legend, Nas, SWV, and have performed alongside Sir Elton John, as well as performed for "We Day" in stadiums across Canada (an inspiring event for young people leading local and global change.) Her clients consistently perform at SXSW and have also toured throughout the GSA market. Together with its clients KL Management has garnered numerous accolades including MMVA Video of the Year, Socan #1 Award, Socan Pop Song of the Year, as well as numerous platinum and gold certified singles. Lopes executive produced the film "ALIVE" in partnership with MUCH which starred Shawn Desman, Kaitlyn Leeb (Heartland), Melinda Shankar (Degrassi), and K.C. Collins (Lost Girl). The film was the cornerstone of an innovative campaign to promote Desman's album of the same name. The premiere grew its time slot by 145%, won “Outstanding Short Film” at ReelWorld Film Awards, garnered nominations including: “Best Youth Program/Series” and “Best Direction in Youth Program/Series” at the Canadian Screen Awards, “Best TV Drama Cinematography” at the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards, “Best R&B/Soul Recording” at the Juno Awards, and Best Pop Music Video at MMVA’s.KL also serves on the board for: Manifesto, a youth arts organization that creates space – both physical and digital – that inspire, develop, and amplify diverse communities of young people through arts, culture and media; Music Managers Forum Canada (MMF); and is an innovator w/ Keychange, a global network working towards a total restructure of the music industry in reaching full gender equality. She was also an honouree of the 2020 global top 100 “Alternative Power 100 Music List”. KL Management also provides coaching services and online courses for emerging talent to assist them in navigating the industry and creating a successful and sustainable career in music.
