Completed a one-year National AmeriCorps service term where I coordinated, analyzed, and evaluated volunteer capabilities. I lead, engaged, and instructed groups of up to 50 corporate, community, faith, and campus chapter volunteers in building, renovating, and repairing homes. Accurately interpreted blueprints and provided status up-dates on project progress and reported to the Senior Site Supervisor. Attended Habitat International Conference leadership and professional development training. Conducted daily morning, safety, and site clean-up meetings with fellow AmeriCorps. I worked with contractors, project managers, as well as a team of construction professionals to meet deadlines on single family homes in Queens and condos in Brooklyn. Our scope of work included but not limited to: tiling, metal and wood framing, roofing, siding, installing drop ceilings, and much more. Shuttled volunteers in a 14 passenger van to and from various sites.- Build-a-thon 2016: Participated in a week-long Blitz build in Wake County, NC. Worked with hundreds of AmeriCorps members, Alumni, community volunteers, and family partners to successfully build 4 single-family homes and 5 critical home repairs.
