I am a BSN new graduate from California Baptist University, and I am seeking a position in a pediatric nurse residency. Over the past 3 years, I gained clinical experience amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, I completed various clinical rotations that well-rounded my nursing care and strengthened my skills. These clinical rotations were completed in the areas of medical-surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, geriatrics, community health, intensive care, and the emergency department. I am confident in my critical thinking, time management, and patient safety skills.It gives me fulfillment to work in a profession and environment that positively impacts families within the community. Because of this, I quickly found interest in pediatric and neonatal care. I completed my clinical experience in a Level III NICU, where I cared for neonates and honed my clinical skills. This prompted my decision to continue my education in this area and become NRP and PALs certified.
