Help market the convention with the creation of videos, photographs, press releases and advertisements. • Creates an amazing customer experience for celebrities, convention guests and more whether it be face to face or on social media and resolves all issues in a fast, professional and fun manner. • Assist in booking flights, accommodations, outings and transport for celebrities, • Create vendor packages, make schedules for the film/panel room and convention happenings, host events, help with organizing all other events leading up to the convention weekend. • Meet with multiple news sources to complete interviews leading up to/during the convention to conduct interviews.• Be on call 24/7 to ensure all needs are met and be a point of contact on the floor throughout the convention weekend. • Talk with convention attendees to make sure that they are having an enjoyable experience and conduct post event recommendations so that we are always building towards a bigger and better experience. • Recruit, train and organize volunteers for the convention and hold informative meetings leading up to the event. • Write and create engaging guest announcements, social media posts, interview questions, press releases and other various documents. • Help coordinate vendors.• Help with the purchasing of supplies for the convention and the running of the ticket sales/tills. • Work with Tourism Calgary to plan and co-host the White Hat Ceremony and other events at the annual Calgary Horror Con VIP Party. • Help with community events throughout the year that help engage like-minded individuals year round (movie nights, Screamfest events, Terror Challenge, etc)•Work with other businesses to cross promote other events and giveaways.
