CFK Africa is an international NGO and affiliate organization of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, serving community members to improve public health, educational outcomes, and economic opportunities in informal settlements. Led US team operations with day-to-day management of ~$3M annual budget; maintained financial reporting and oversight of annual audit process and oversaw multi-site staff collaboration to establish enhanced policies and procedures in Kenya and the US. Facilitated Peacock Fellowship program, responsible for recruitment, training, and management of multiple student fellows in annual internship in Kenya. Spearheaded innovative funding and partnership sources. Acted as key spokesperson and external relationship manager. Coordinated development of a multi-million dollar proposal focused on using waste water surveillance to detect disease outbreaks in informal settlements in collaboration with national and university partners.

The Community Medical Clinic of Aiken County is a free medical clinic dedicated to improving the quality of life of impoverished, uninsured residents, and working poor by providing ongoing healthcare and guidance in a professional setting.Oversaw day-to-day clinic and pharmacy operations to serve 500+ uninsured and working poor residents in a free medical clinic; improved medication-disbursement efficiency and patient compliance.

Metanoia is an asset based community development organization incorporated to provide programs, create opportunities, and engage in other activities that promote and support community development. The organization is defined by community-based leadership and community-oriented goals, which were identified by community residents beginning in 2002: a safe and nurturing place for children after school, quality affordable housing, and economic re-energizing of disinvested North Charleston neighborhoods.Served as the Volunteer and Events Coordinator through the AmeriCorps VISTA program where I managed the renovation of a 5,000 square foot building, managed volunteers ranging from 15-85 years of age, and planned fundraising events including a golf tournament which doubled its participants from year one to year two.
