Based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Katrina is Director of Retail Operations in Grand Teton National Park for Grand Teton Lodge Company and Flagg Ranch Company, owned and operated by Vail Resorts. Katrina oversees merchandising and management for 13 store operations varying from fine art and gift stores to logo apparel and souvenir, fine and outdoor apparel, American Indian art and jewelry, sporting goods, and activity rental and grocery operations, serving as a Director for Vail Resorts. In addition Katrina’s consulting company, Katrina Thompson Fine Art Consulting, serves a local, national, and international private and corporate clientele. Katrina Thompson holds a Masters of Philosophy in Art Connoisseurship of European Art and Antiques from the University of Glasgow and Christie's Education in London and an undergraduate degree from Tulane University and the American University of Paris in Art History and Classics. She has placed significant art works in private and museum collections, and bid on thousands of paintings and sculpture worldwide. In New York, Katrina was a Sales Associate and Auction Liaison for Spanierman Gallery, and represented the important American art gallery at art fairs and functions nationally. She also gained invaluable museum and art market experience at the Musee Louvre in Paris, and Weschler's Auctioneers in Washington, D.C.In Jackson Hole, Katrina gained experience in hospitality and the ski resort industry after serving in various roles including Chef Concierge for Terra Resort Group in Teton Village. After dabbling in retail with Terra Resort Group, she moved full time into retail in her present role at Grand Teton Lodge Company. Katrina is from the Washington DC area and has lived in Paris, London, New Orleans, New York, and Jackson Hole. She enjoys the adventure of the outdoors and has traveled extensively domestically and internationally.
