I am currently programme leader for the range of computing MSc courses and am responsible for teaching and research in artificial intelligence, software engineering and software enterprise. My primary research area focuses on artificial intelligence (agent and multi agent systems, autonomous systems, deep learning and time series forecasting). Other areas of interest include distributed systems, game technologies and computer architecture.

University Centre At Blackburn College

I was responsible for the staff teaching in, and programmes delivered by, the School of Health, Science and Technology at University Centre at Blackburn College. As a team we delivered a wide range of courses including Higher National, Foundation Degrees and Honours Degrees, spanning four subject areas; Engineering, Health, Technology and Sport & Therapy. We had courses in areas such as Construction, Complementary Therapies, Computing, Counselling, Health, Engineering, Applied Psychology, and Sports Coaching & Performance. We are also developed courses in the Sciences. We worked closely with individuals already working in industry and looking to up skill as well as those looking to join an industry, so that all students within the school were able to achieve their career aspirations.

Pastoral tutor for all students studying computing at BSc level.Successful validation of a the new BSc Honours Top Up programme.
