Natural Sciences graduate with an interest in progamming and data analysis currently looking for a new and exciting career opportunity.I'm a recent master's graduate from UCL in Natural Sciences (Astrophysics and Molecular and Cellular Biology), with experience in scientific research and Python coding. My master's project focussed on innovative problem solving using computing in a scientific environment, by transforming large data sets so that they can be analysed by fitting a Lorentzian function to it and extracting the relevant parameters, before using data visalisation to refine and streamline my project.I'm currently working in an interim role in the healthcare sector, providing database development support and helping with volunteer recruitment.   I haved worked in various roles during school and university holidays, and have now picked up more consistent work to build experience while searching for my ideal role. Volunteering Support Services June 2023 – Present My current shift involves helping the small team at volunteering support services, who look after the volunteers at UHBW. This requires my organisational and teamworking skills as we have to prioritise and communicate effectively to complete the large number of varied tasks to assist and recruit our volunteers. I have also been helping to develop their database of volunteers. (MPB, BIRCH, Patient Safety Team) June 2021 - August 2022 (University Holidays)I assisted in setting up the data storage framework and digitising and sorting files for the quality management system Q-Pulse, whilst also preparing it for new users. Additionally I worked for the Patient Safety Team, where I was following up on incidents and ensuring our understanding of the current risks in the hospital was up to date. This meant I was switching between roles, so I had to be adaptable and fit my current team.(Clinical Engineering / MEMO) August 2020 - June 2021I dealt with safety notifications from companies who supplied the hospital with machines or consumables. I improved my computing skills and learnt the best way to operate the relevant systems and retrieve data effectively and efficiently. I had to be self-sufficient and reliable, as I was working remotely, and understand my role and tasks very quickly.(Endoscopy Unit) August 2019-September 2019 I assisted patients and organised paperwork, thereby building up customer service and administrative skills. I also improved my teamwork and adaptability, as there were times when I had to help out others in order to complete the various assigned tasks. I also learnt to prioritise when I was dealing with voicemails from patients.
