KATLAND is Kat Mill and a support staff of talented design colleagues and freelancers. Kat has twenty four years’ experience in the field of graphic design. She began her career in 1992 at Genesis in Denver, tackling such accounts as Disney, Frontier Airlines, Schwinn, Scott USA, and The Quaker Oats Company. She made the move to San Francisco in the year 2000, where she worked on iconic projects including the San Francisco Ferry Building, Galleria Dallas, Hipbone, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Kat went out on her own to form KATLAND in 2004.KATLAND specializes in identity, branding, marketing communications collateral, product design, and environmental and building signage. Our diverse client base includes Fortune 500 companies and international corporations like Microsoft, Pepsico, and Yingli Solar; major firms and smaller businesses, including Tesla Motors, Knowledge Architecture, and Opera Plaza; and civic and educational institutions and non-profit organizations such as California Coastkeeper Alliance, Point Blue Conservation Science, Point Reyes National Seashore Association, ArtSpan, Bergamot Station, and Japan Society of Northern California. Recently, KATLAND has enjoyed expanding its portfolio of work for alternative energy clients including Sharp’s Recurrent Energy, Yingli Solar, Shai Agassi (the Israeli Guru of Green), and Tesla Motors.
