Network & Systems EngineerBrasseries Simba Jun 2017 - Jan 2019Lubumbashi, Katanga, Congo (Drc)During my tenure at Brasimba, I led the complete redesign of the corporate network at Lubumbashi HQ and upgraded branch network devices, transitioning from EoIP to DMVPN IPsec tunnels between the HQ and 12 branches across the country. This migration to a Cisco DMVPN infrastructure (Single-Hub Dual-Cloud over MPLS L3 VPN) significantly optimized network performance and security.I drafted, implemented, and enforced the company’s IT security policy, which was adopted by the Head Management. My responsibilities included network administration, device configuration and management, and enforcing IT security policies through ACLs, Route Maps, and Firewall rules. I conducted thorough analyses of threats and vulnerabilities of corporate systems and deployed an antivirus server (Kaspersky Security) to secure hosts and servers.I managed and monitored over two hundred network devices, including Cisco Catalyst (4500, 3750, 2960) Series switches, Ubiquiti radios and APs, HP ProLiant servers, HP network printers, and Smart Eaton UPS. I also planned server maintenance to ensure high availability and optimal performance, and deployed an HP Access Control print server, configuring network printers with HP Secure Pull Print technology.Additionally, I managed company licenses, servers, databases, and clusters in a Microsoft environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and security through regular maintenance, updates, and monitoring.
