Recognized lead scientist and respected team member in multi-disciplinary R&D teams with history of non-clinical and clinical research in nanoscience, nanophotonics and laser medicine.As a lead R&D scientist, I planned, managed, executed, and directed non-clinical and clinical research projects in wide area of development of innovative laser- and nanoparticle-based diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for laser medicine, including applications in cancer and infectious diseases. For instance, as a lead research scientist and co-inventor I facilitated development of method and medical device for transdermal non-invasive diagnosis of malaria from scratch to first in human validation in 35 months.I believe my extensive multidisciplinary experience in fundamental and applied research in medical nanoscience and cancer puts me in a unique position to develop cutting-edge technologies that meet patient needs. For example, as a research scientist and co-inventor I significantly contributed to development of intraoperative diagnostics and elimination of residual microtumors (MRD) in the surgical bed with plasmonic nanobubbles (PNB). Obtained pre-clinical results show that PNB-guided surgery prevented local recurrence and delivered 100% tumor-free survival. In unresectable MRD, PNB nanosurgery improved survival two-fold compared with standard surgery. One key of my success is commitment to the final result, with strong ability to work in multi-projects environment with aggressive requirements and high-pressure timelines. I have solid cell culture laboratory skills (including BSL-2 samples processing, and basic nanoparticles and drugs biocompatibility and toxicity testing), hands-on experience of working with animals, strong first-hands experience of working with lasers and laser systems (including Class 3B/4 systems), academic and medical device industry experience in non-clinical and clinical research. Experienced in IACUC, GLP, ICH E6 GCP, ISO 14155, ISO 10993 and FDA 510(k), preparation of SOPs, non-clinical and clinical study protocols and reports, essential clinical study documentation.
