I lead a team of talented AmeriCorps Members serving in the Economic Opportunity Coaching Program. We provide individualized coaching to Peckham clients through one-on-one sessions and classroom-style training. We specialize in coaching people with disabilities, refugees, and low-income individuals in the areas of financial literacy and employability skill development to help them achieve and maintain economic stability.

I provided one-on-one coaching, resources, and support to help managers become better leaders of themselves and others. I assisted leaders in goal-setting activities with focus on development in the following areas: effective communication, approachability and empathy, self and team management, adaptability, confidence and positivity, transparency, team building and morale, and a willingness to learn. Through collaboration and group discussion, patterns across leadership were identified and universal skill gaps were addressed. Successful outcomes were fostered through leadership-focused content development, training, and thoughtful intervention.

Lansing, Michigan Area

I provided intensive vocational services, case management, and human resources support to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment working in a fast-paced production environment. In addition to vocational counseling and crisis intervention, I also developed material and conducted training to help support successful outcomes for individuals. The training topics included, Time Management, Barrier Reduction, Managing Emotions, Adjusting to the Job, Diversity, Workplace Communication, and other employment skills.

Lansing, Michigan Area

I provided rehabilitation support for a team of 90 employees with disabilities and/or other barriers to employment through counseling, crisis intervention, coaching, training, and case management. I was responsible for the development and management of each team member's individual program plan to help the individual meet their vocational goals.
