Katherine (Kat) Topaz is a nationally recognized and award-winning design veteran whose track record shows that strong design, branding and market positioning are necessary strategic tools for successful companies. Topaz’s roots are in publication design, having designed over 50 magazines and newspapers throughout the US.As the Creative Director for Storycode, Topaz created some of the very first mobile apps. Her digital solutions for mobile devices including tablets and cell phones on multiple platforms were used as models for best practices. Many of her apps have been showcased by Adobe. Her mobile designs include in-store retail apps for apparel, B2B sales tools for corporate communications, economic development reports, catalogues, event programs, as well as consumer-facing apps.At 6D Global, Topaz continued this journey while mobile apps and digital marketing evolved to become an expected part of good business. She has used her creative and strategic foundation to build strong teams that continue to leverage new technology and who collaborate with the companies they work with together. Topaz is known for creating energetic, enthusiastic environments who value collaboration and creative growth. Ongoing throughout her career, she has donated a larger percentage of her time to teaching and non-profit work.
