With over nine years of work experience in public health and community development, I am a passionate and skilled Grants Coordinator at the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). I hold a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from San Diego State University. In my current role, I support institutional development by coordinating and implementing grants and contracts related to education, wellness, and prevention programs for the LACCD student community. Previously, I was a Contract Administrator at RAND Corporation, where I managed and monitored multiple contracts for research projects in health policy, social services, and education. I also served as a Regional Director at Office of Samoan Affairs of California, where I coordinated and supervised various programs and initiatives to promote the health, education, and cultural preservation of the Samoan community in California. I have strong competencies in workshop facilitation, program coordination, contract administration, and health education. I am committed to advancing public health and social justice through collaborative and evidence-based approaches. I seek to bring my diverse perspectives and experiences to the LACCD team and contribute to its mission and vision.
