2023 to PresentIn 2023, my family took the leap to move from Northern England to Maine-et-Loire, France. Alongside my husband, Ross Dobson, a Chartered Structural Engineer, we launched Dobson Structures, with operations predominantly in France but also operating remotely in the UK. I managed the business set up in France, website creation and initial marketing strategy and continue to offer support as an associate of the business.Having settled our family, I decided to pursue a long-time interest of working in property, and have since become an independent property agent with Leggett Immobilier International, which I manage part-time. I am part of a successful team within the Baugeois-Vallée and surrounding areas, and am able to support vendors with the sale of their property and buyers to discover their dream home.I also currently work as an assistant manager and events coordinator at Chateau de Jalesnes in Vernantes. The chateau is particularly special to me, as it is where my husband and I celebrated our marriage in 2020. I now enjoy coordinating weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and more at this spectacular venue.Prior to 2023:As a Logistics Engineer at Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK from 2019 to 2023, I analysed and designed effective inbound logistics networks for the transportation of parts from Europe to our manufacturing plant in Sunderland. Beginning my role as a graduate, I gained experience in cost analysis, led improvement projects and worked with cross-functional teams for contract renewals; all of this during the very challenging 2020/2021 period with changes in customs legislation due to Brexit and managing the disruption of COVID and semi-conductor shortage in the supply chain.Previously, I trained and worked for three years as a Primary Teacher with experience across the primary age range. I graduated in July 2016 with a First Class Honours degree in Primary Education from the University of Sunderland. I then spent three years as a full-time teacher in an 'Outstanding' North East school. I still have a great deal of interest in the education sector and volunteered as a STEM ambassador while representing Nissan, and now I am a mother to an energetic and inquisitive toddler!
