I worked part-time for the Technology Enhanced Learning Research Programme. This was a national research programme across the UK, led by Professor Richard Noss, London Knowledge Lab. My role involved managing the programmes’ website, cataloguing programme outputs and publications, publicising the programme through social media, and liaising with personnel across the programmes’ projects and research strands to support their work through the website.

0.2 FTE technical research co-ordinator on the Ensemble Project, based in the Learning Development Center. This post complemented my role on the project at Cambridge.

I worked at Cambridge in a full-time post from November 2005 to January 2009, and continued part-time (0.35 FTE) from February 2009 to July 2011. I was based in the Department of Plant Science from 11/2005 to 08/2008, then the Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies (CARET) 09/2008 to 07/2011.During my time at Cambridge I was involved in a range of educational research and e-learning projects during this period, including the Plant Sciences Pedagogy Project, the Teaching for Learning Network, Transforming Perspectives: Technology to support the teaching and learning of threshold concepts, Transkills, and Ensemble: Semantic technologies for the enhancement of case-based learning.I developed a wide range of skills while working on these projects, including quantitative and qualitative research methods, academic writing and presentation, skills as a learning technologist, and project management.
