In charge of all programmes across BBC News & current affairs, including 6/10, Today, Panorama, Newsbeat, news podcasts, Newsnight, 5live news etc. Executive Editor of Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg.

In charge of all political coverage for the BBC. One of the skills I have from this role is judging how a political crisis will develop. I was promoted several times during these years, as outlined below.

Alongside my role at the Six and Ten, I'm Executive Producer of a monthly current affairs programme presented by the BBC's World Affairs Editor, John Simpson. Each month the BBC's key on air Editors answer the big questions of the day.

Editing the Six and Ten O'clock News watched by around 5m people every night. Deciding content and look. Managing a team of staff, and working closely with presenters.

Editing the News Channel, the BBC's rolling news service.

Duty edit BBC News

Duty edited the programme. 'Today' sets the agenda for the British media and political elite. I also ran the planning operation.

Researched and produced programmes, travelled globally producing election specials (US, Israel etc) and covering riots in Jakarta. Moved from WS radio to domestic news in 1994. Worked on WATO and PM and the World Tonight before moving to the Today programme as an editor.
