COMM 402: International Reporting was a competitive class I was selected for. The class was primarily self-lead and consisted of each of us pitching a main feature news story and a blog post, researching and connecting with subjects from Scotland and traveling to Scotland to interview and photograph subjects. Other responsibilities included meeting weekly and monthly deadlines, collaborating with other student journalists and helping create graphics for, edit and produce a television special for the class.

As the social media manager, my role consisted of revamping KTA's previously inactive social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I introduced multimedia content like videos and livestreams onto their social media and grew their Facebook pages by over 500 followers. I posted on a weekly basis and monitored social media patterns and trends.

I was promoted from Peer Writing Workshops Coordinator to Peer Writing Communications Coordinator. In the communications coordinator position, my duties entailed taking meeting notes and sending weekly emails, facilitating bi-weekly staff meetings that consist of over 50 writing tutors, serving as the liaison between peer writing tutors and consultants and my supervisor and promoting the writing center through panel discussions, emails and staff events.

As a Peer Writing Tutor, my tasks extend beyond editing and revising my peers' work from a mechanical (grammar, spelling, punctuation) standpoint. I work alongside students, both native english writers and ESL writers, to brainstorm creative ways to approach their prompt, discuss their organization, and help them structure and formulate varied sentences. I also provide constructive feedback on their materials and ask them questions that allow them to further reflect and introspect to improve the writing process. Additionally, I participate in "Workshops", which consist of presentations to a wide variety of both lower and upper level writing courses offered on campus.

As a Peer Writing Workshops Coordinator, I am responsible for working alongside three other coordinators to oversee all the peer writing tutors at the learning center. I facilitate communication between coordinators and tutors, address and resolve questions and concerns from tutors, and enact ideas and practices to improve the writing center. I am also responsible for reaching out to professors and departments to organize and schedule writing "Workshops"-- in class presentations given by tutors to inform students about the writing center and general ways to improve writing-- and create the powerpoint presentations for tutors to present.

Wrote, filmed and edited packages for the Centre County Report's weekly newscast. Pitched story ideas in weekly news meetings, interviewed subjects in the local area and surrounding counties, wrote VO, VOSOT and PKG scripts for my own stories and classmates' stories, created graphics and produced content for social media. Had the opportunity to do a liveshot for our last newscast.

Interviewed residents, staff and children from diverse backgrounds and wrote long, profile pieces on them for several Masonic Village publications. These publications include Village Voice (staff and resident features), Reflections (Families and hospice patient features), Home's Grown Kids (staff and residential children features) and Blue Slipper Stories (Widow features). Additional responsibilities included creating video content for Masonic Village home health and home care services, writing press releases, photographing and coordinating interviews, photoshoots and events, producing social media content, gratitude reports and contributing to weekly staff meetings and brainstorms.

The Dangling Modifier is an international newsletter publication for undergraduate peer tutors. As an editor for the Fall 2020 edition, my role includes: reviewing and approving submissions; fact-checking submission content and sources; communicating with authors; and managing the email and Twitter accounts.

As an intern, my work involves researching and writing articles for the publishing house's website, and reviewing and editing manuscripts for accuracy and clarity.

September 2019- May 2020: Field Reporter As a field reporter, I sought out interviewees and stories to cover. I also generated interview questions, scripts, and utilized video cameras and microphones to record my interviews. I created and edited my broadcast packages using Adobe Premiere Pro.January 2019- May 2019: Television Anchor As an anchor, I produced and edited my own scripts for the episodes I co-anchored in.

Was selected to study English courses abroad for a 5-week program. Cancelled due to COVID-19.

As Administrative Assistant, my role was to send out weekly recap emails from meeting minutes I had taken, facilitate communication between my committee members and captain, and organize and plan committee member group events.

This was a freelance project I did to better integrate the short-term and long-term residential communities of State College. For this project, I interviewed a variety of local governmental figures, business owners, first responders, and residents. I then edited the video together using Adobe Premiere Pro and created my own graphics for the video. The video was then shown at State College's annual "LIONBash" community celebration in Fall 2019 and uploaded to the borough's Instagram. See project under "Projects" tab.

This position entailed working with children in grades K-8 during the daytime. As a camp counselor, I was responsible for supervising and interacting with the children and keeping them occupied with exciting, active and creative activities. My duties required me to maintain an enthusiastic and positive attitude, as well as provide discipline, enforce rules, and be a respectful role model for the children and my peers.
