As a team coach for our business consultants - each working on their own projects and frequently at the premises of the customer - it is a challenge to ensure team cohesion and the feeling for each team member to be part of a 'community'. At the same time, all the team members colour our team through their own (academic) background, levels of knowledge, expertise and experience. Supporting the development team during implementation (specifications clarification, testing).Acting as a communication partner between all necessary stakeholders to ensure that choices are made based on an aligned product vision and dito product roadmap (stakeholder management). During a multiyear project, the aim for Essent.be was to implement a new commercial IT platform that would be future-proof in many ways. The functional scope contained nearly all existing business processes (B2B & B2C) which were - where needed - redesigned to be MIG 6 compliant as of 2018 (= new generation of market processes entailing the information exchange between several market parties in the Belgian utility sector). A scrum method was chosen above the classical waterfall methodology. During the first phase of the project, I mainly worked as an analyst within the billing domain, redesigning the dunning process(es) for our B2B customers. Within the second phase of the project, I shifted my focus again towards the service domain in which I was involved in different process redesigns for our B2C customers.

As a Business Process Analyst at Essent.be my main focus was to search for end-to-end process optimisations within the customer service area following the Kaizen methodology. Capturing business requirements, writing the corresponding functional requirements, testing the new functionalities and making sure the appropriate (training) documentation was in place were my main concerns while continuously thinking customer centric. Apart from that, operational support, KPI follow-up and ad hoc analysis of business incidents were some of my other responsibilities. I mainly cooperated with the customer service reps, project managers, IT developers, BI, the legal department and colleague analysts.

The credit analyst‘s main purpose is to minimise the credit risk exposure while supporting business targets.The credit analyst works closely with the business unit and the commercial teams to get market knowledge in the specific application(s), which is added to complete each company and/or industry (financial) analysis in order to justify/understand the credit risk(s) taken. Regular customer visits in (Western) Europe are part of a thorough credit analysis.
