I graduated from the University of Malta, after successfully completing the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Digital Arts course. Apart from my academic studies, I undertook the Graphic Designer Associate Course at the Institute of Computer Education, obtaining certifications for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.In my second year, as part of my Erasmus+ mobility studies, I spent the first semester abroad studying Film and Photography in Bradford, UK. It helped me to improve and expand my communication skills since I had to cope alone in a new environment. Each University assignment was a new challenge to push my limits and to approach every task as creatively as possible. These included branding, designing posters and other materials for small local campaigns, book cover illustrations and product packaging.Following the termination of my bachelor’s degree, I was engaged in a three month internship as part of the production team at Yellow, Discover Local. Later on, I went on to work in a relatively new company, Fullphat Media in Mriehel. Being the sole graphic designer, I handled all the design work and made sure that everything was finalised on time. At Impressions Limited, I was assigned tasks ranging from branding, business stationery (collateral), menus and editorial to large formatting such as billboards and signage.During March 2020, I started the Website Designer Associate Course with ICE Malta while working a two month design internship at Steves & Co. The course covered all the steps required in creating a professional website from design to development. Around that time, I also worked at NIU Ltd. as a web designer. The tasks were mostly web focused; designing social media artworks, branding, creating wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, and updating NIU’s website content via Wordpress. Then I went on to work at Kanon Gaming Ltd. which introduced me to the iGaming world.
