Brokerage for employee benefits, property and causality, and retirement insurances and payroll, accounting, and tax business services for mid-size U.S. companies. Report to CFO.Business intelligence and analytics: * Analyze, interpret, and explain operations and financial data for departments and the accounting, finance, sales, and marketing functions. * Analyze data with exploratory analysis and descriptive statistical analytics with some predictive modeling. No prescriptive analytics, data mining, or machine learning but moving in that direction. * Design and produce standard and custom reports and dashboards. Create ad hoc reports almost daily. Monitor KPI’s and benchmarking. * Extract data from warehouse and databases. * 450 report and dashboard users including management at the corporate, division, and business unit levels and operations staff. Produce 85% of the reports used by division management.* Product management of a core application, work with project manager and programmers. Supervise 215 users for data entry and quality.* Interact with 250 management and staff for reporting, interpretation, and data quality issues.Technical: Tableau, Power BI, Paxata, SQL Server, Oracle, Salesforce, data warehouse, OLAP, Information Builders, Excel, custom databases, database objects / cubes. Familiar with BI tools such as Business Objects, LogiXML, MicroStrategy, and eDashboards. Currently studying R, statistics, and Python. SQL query with tools.Major initiative: Initiated and lead BI reporting for the division.Teamwork: Create cross-functional teams for data related projects, core application and business acquisition teams.Data management: Help desk, training, data quality.Regulatory issues: SOX, ACA, ERISA, coordinate with legal team.
