As regional representative of the company , my responsibility is to increase their market presence in South East Europe as well as in the EU and non EU Balkan countries .

I have established the activity of the company in Bulgaria by setting up the office and building the team. I have elaborated the business strategy for BG and RO market, led its implementation by optimising financial, operational and people resources, increased market presence of the company in the region, built and established long term partnerships with clients.I have managed counterparty risks associated with contracts ( up to 3 mlnEUR per counter party ) including in-depth understanding of customerand market risk, due diligence surrounding contracts and monitoringof customers’ financial strength relative to payment performance.I have built relationship with government entities - Ministry of Agriculture, National revenue Agency, EU Parliament . I have executed efficient management of operational cost, optimized stock level, managed and controlled other various costs.

In charge of sourcing raw sugar for the internal refineries of the company. Negotiating purchase contracts with suppliers from “ preferential countries “ ( EPA/ EBA , LDC )Proposing and executing trading strategies such as tolling, reverse tolling, swaps and supply strategies to Man’s refineries around the world.Management of hedging positions, spreads, white premiums, freight positions, insurance and forex exposureMonitoring of physical movements, stock positions, risk managementResponsible for representing the company in ESRA (European Sugar Refineries Association) in Brussels. I have lobbied at European parliament level on behalf of sugar refineries in Europe.

Negotiated supply contracts for 5 full time refineries for supply of rawsugar corresponding to their needs and quotas. (130 000 – 170 000metric tones of raw sugar annually ). Priced and Managed the futurespositions ( New York No.11).Monitored and managed the supply of the refineries. Optimisedfinancial and logistic costs by doing internal SWAPS as well as SWAPSwith other European refineries.Managed non conformity complaints regarding quality problems withthe raw material between the refineries and the supplier.Created opportunities for exports of white sugar in neighbor EUcountries - Romania and GreeceRepresented the company at EU level in Brussels. Participated inmeetings with representatives of the EU Commission for Agricultureand Rural Development.Represented the company at the European Association of sugarTraders ( ASSUC ).I have established the first association of sugar refineries in EU – ESRA together with partner sugar refineries.I have done a study and proposed a business plan for a greenfield project of a sugar mill in Sudan.
