I successfully navigated a move into the world of sports sponsorship at Repucom, bringing my passion for sport and experience in market research together. I was involved in several different areas, such as event research, fan studies and syndicated work. I worked in the Insight department which sits in the Advertising division. We worked with clients to build their understanding of audiences, getting them closer to their consumers, and measuring advertising effectiveness across our titles and websites - all with the aim of maximising advertising revenues for the department.90% of what I did here was primary quantitative research, overseeing projects from start to finish and presenting results internally and externally. I also used a number of industry surveys, including TGI and NRS and headed up the internal roll-out of NRS PADD.

My role here was based in the marketing department and allowed me to work with a variety of people, from editors and publishers to sales and marketing professionals. Much of the work was running primary quantitative research, including reader surveys for a number of titles and also working to support marketing strategies. I also worked with external agencies in commissioning research.

I won a place on Ipsos MORI’s competitive grad scheme and worked in the ad-hoc media department. I had fantastic comprehensive training in all areas of quantitative and qualitative research and worked on a varied number of projects, including online panel work, international paper surveys, telephone, and large scale projects, such as Touchpoints, RAJAR and NRS.
