I counsel and educate expectant parents who are considering adoption. I assist them throughout their adoption journey by helping them make a hospital plan, connect them to resources, facilitate match meetings between the expectant parents and prospective adoptive parents, and offer continual support. Part of my role as a Pregnancy Counselor is that I maintain relationships with pregnancy centers and hospitals. I also assist Colorado families by conducting Home Studies, Updates and Post-Placement visits.

Resume duties as a pregnancy counselor while also establishing and growing an adoption from foster care program in our Colorado office. Duties include:- recruit and train emotionally healthy families that have appropriate adoption expectations- Educate and prepare families on the realities of foster care and their commitment to children no matter what behaviors or needs they may exhibit- Match families with children in foster care all across the country- Coordinate with professional teams associated with children and evaluate whether my families will be proper matches for these children- Coordinate and complete ICPC- Supervise and manage the placement. Step in and provide support to families as they navigate successfully parenting and transitioning children from foster care in to their home as an adoptive placement.

Duties include recruiting, educating and assisting adoptive families, as well as birth parents, who are considering adoption all throughout the country. I assist them throughout their adoption journey by ensuring both parties are making an informed decision, connecting them to resources, facilitating match meetings between the birth parents and prospective adoptive parents, and offering continual support. I must also build and maintain good working relationships with agency staff and community organizations, including Pregnancy Resource Centers, local area hospitals and OB/GYN clinics, etc.
