Recreation Superintendent
I have been working for the Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District (FORPD) since November 2005. Every day I work with an amazingly motivated and dedicated team of Recreation Professionals. The Recreation Team consists of myself managing the department, three full time Recreation Supervisors, one full time Recreation Coordinator, & one full time Preschool Teacher, and 15-30 part time Recreation Lead staff. I report to the District Administrator and five member Board of Directors (elected); however, I definitely work for the wonderful community members in Fair Oaks. -Supported District Administrator and Board of Directors in various community outreach efforts in solidifying a $29.5M General Obligation Bond, funding projects to improve and expand services. Currently assisting in the administration of bond projects.-Successfully developed a 3-year Capital Improvement Plan in 2014 leading to multiple facility and park renovations worth over $1.5M which lead to additional $1M spent on additional Capital Improvements over the course of an additional 6 years.-Assisted in the design, development, operational planning, and grand opening of two new neighborhood parks in 2021. -Experience working with Architects, Foremen, Site Managers, Construction Management Firms (ICS), and Stakeholders. Developed an understanding of the Public Bid Process, Plan Review, Developing a Scope of Work, Change Orders, etc. -RFP/RFQ and Contract Management experience in areas such as Janitorial, Park Police, Event Security, etc. -Project lead on the implementation of a Cost Recovery Program developed through the 110% Cost Recovery Model. -Responsible for the operation of a full-time recreation-based preschool

A Resident Assistant (RA) is a student employed by the Department of Residential Life to live in a residence hall and work as part of a staff team in order to build a positive living and learning environment and community experience for residents. An RA serves as a liaison between the residents of the community and the Department of Residential Life. An RA has many roles and responsibilities, including, but not limited to: acting as an advisor for students, being a familiar resource for students with academic or institutional questions, and enforcing UniversityHousing policies. RAs are provided information, resources, and a thorough training process to teach them the skills needed to succeed in this important role. After School Program
I was responsible for the supervision of 30-40 elementary aged students from 3:00pm - 6:00pm Monday through Friday. This included outdoor activities, arts & crafts, and homework review.
