My role also involved club management, dealing with many different aspects of managing the venue The Peephouse.General Manager was an all encompassing role incorporating organising contractual agreements, production, developing promotional campaigns and materials, writing press releases and content for the web-site, and management of finances. Directed digital marketing campaigns. Co-ordinating SMS promotions and e-flyers via direct marketing software,facebook and other social networking site promotion, and managing the company's web-site. I also introduced Bluetooth promotion to this venue. Co-ordinating venue sales and liaising with potential new nights, health and safety, décor, maintenance, sponsorship, marketing and staff management.Operated extremely commercially in a competitive market.

In 2007 and 2008 I worked freelance for the Gatecrasher Summer Sound System gaining experience in a green field event environment, in 2008 the event ran over two days and had a capacity of 60,000 people. This is the largest event I have worked on undertaking office management duties and gaining experience from working with the Police.

Event Manager at 3 different events including a wedding, a secret garden event and a Pirates of the Caribbean themed event.Maintained relationships with important and high profile clients to ensure their expectations were met, excellent service was delivered and associations where always kept professional. I dealt with the health and safety responsibilities for each of the events and managed staff, budgets and sourced props and equipment as part of this role.

Managed the company client management system, Priam and helped develop a new client event database for use during live events.With a great reputation for event management MFEG also supplied a corporate event service, working for clients such as the Rotherham Chamber of Commerce and U-Explore education.Assisted in the management of a 700 capacity educational exhibition at Old Trafford football ground, which led to repeat corporate business with the venue.

The locally known jewel in the crown of Leeds city centre that acts as a shopping centre throughout the daylight hours boasting independent and youth inspired shops, but also as a diverse event venue out of shopping hours.Organised large corporate events ranging from capacities of 500 – 1500 people. These included a variety of clients from solicitors, banks and outside corporate event organisers. Venue management and event co-ordination for a variety of events that included fashion shows, art exhibitions, record and designers' fairs.I wrote an event analysis to the owners of the centre. The strategy outlined ideas to increase event revenue and the saleability of the centre as a venue. I also produced an event advertising package which would be sent out to prospective clients looking to hire the venue. It clearly outlined costs, site specifications and equipment, health and safety procedures and the services provided. I regularly successfully tailored and themed event packages to fit certain clients’ requirements and ensured all expectations were met, building a strong repeat business portfolio. Managed all event clients from initial enquiry to post event review.

Fusion 2003 was a multicultural event that I managed as part of my university placement year. The event included a Fashion Show, Bollywood Dancing, Live Music and Guest Speakers; including the Major of Leeds.
