My work with Positive Voices focuses on applying the science of positive psychology or well-being around the world. We are focusing our efforts on a Blue Star Pledge which promises to prioritize well being in the workplace. Work should contribute to our well being, not be a cost to it. We create media, curriculum and training to educate individuals, communities, neighborhoods, cities, leaders and businesses with the tools and knowledge to develop humanity centered cultures of well-being. I’m a writer, traveler, lover of food and people, a yogi, and a creative. I earnestly believe in the power of media, self-knowledge, education and the humanities to support well-being in our world. I’ve spent decades studying, teaching and practicing yoga, breath work, mindfulness and eastern wisdom traditions/ancient science to integrate them into my formal university education to help others. I work to understand and bridge the gap between eastern and western science, which I believe is integrated wellness. I’m passionate about humanity and wellness for all by living a conscious and intentional life through a non-judgemental, curious and love-filled lens. As part of my distinguished masters thesis at the University of Pennsylvania I studied and developed the psychological construct of Whole Self-Love and continue to conduct further research on the topic. I’m currently completing my first book, "Experiments in Love: The New Science of Whole Self Love".My 20+ years of experience in media has been centered around the three fundamental principles of education, engagement and entertainment. My intention is to create empowering media supported by honest conversations, authentic connection and an inclusive community. My experiences and portfolio are full of diverse projects including motion pictures, commercial, television, shorts, streaming content, curriculum, workshops, plays, poetry, books, articles and educational content. My work has premiered throughout the US and internationally. I’m also an Emmy-award winning director, producer, and show runner. Most recently I host and direct the Emmy award winning lifestyle series, "Taste Utah". I've been recognized as a top 25 filmmaker in North America and have leveraged the power of media throughout my career. Over the years I’ve been honored with awards and given many titles but "Aunt KK" and "a friend to all" are my favorites.
