I've served as an assistant coach for Calvary's varsity softball team for the past seven years. I primarily coach pitchers and catchers, and have successfully developed two groups of freshman pitchers and catchers into league leaders in their positions. My in-game responsibilities include coaching first base, creating a defensive gameplan, and calling pitches during games. I also create hitting and fielding drills to further promote player development.

I was responsible for increasing awareness of adapted technology solutions and promoting digital literacy for people with disabilities. This included both training persons with disabilities in adapted technology and researching and promoting new technology solutions. I trained up to 10 clients at a time in a variety of rehabilitation settings. I would create a unique training plan for each client, starting with initial cognitive and motor assessments to determine technology requirements. Collaborating with medical professionals and caregivers when appropriate, I would develop a personalized curriculum for each client, implemented through weekly training sessions. I also supervised 15 occupational therapy students in adapted technology assessment procedures, and led an initiative to increase clinician awareness of the types of adapted technology available.

I worked closely with clinicians to utilize technology for therapy, treatment, and activities of daily living. I was primarily responsible for set-up and troubleshooting of assistive technology and durable medical equipment for patients with disabilities in both the inpatient and outpatient hospitals. I provided technological support to pediatric therapists by running electromyography equipment and generating reports for pediatric gait analysis studies.

I worked in the polymer development department to test materials for new bioresorbable surgical implants. This included working on in vivo product testing and running an accelerated-aging study according to FDA-approved protocol to determine the shelf life of a new product. I also designed a new testing mechanism to quantify impact strength of injection molded products, including drafting CAD blueprints, overseeing machining, and creating testing protocol. Other responsibilities included completing Corrective Action/Preventative Action documentation and routine documentation of suitability of injection molded productions for quality assurance purposes.
