I am passionate about collaboration, knowledge sharing, and developing successful processes, people, programmes/projects and organisations. I have a 20 years of professional career working in and with a diverse portfolio of organisations ranging from Independents, Local Authorities and National Organisations and with a breadth of stakeholders, ranging from volunteers, sector professionals, senior management, directors, funders and government departments. I am experienced in managing large national programmes of activity, managing stakeholders and building culture of community and collaboration. I have been responsible for bringing stakeholders onboard and advocating for the development of projects and programmes of activity, creating by-in and securing funding. I am an adaptable and effective communicator, and experienced at working across organisations at all levels. As a Project Manager I aim to create an environment where best practice and people can develop and flourish. I have planned, costed and resourced projects, identified when staff resource and recruitment was required, managed budgets, created risk assessments and progress reporting to stake holders and funders as well as managing the overall programme progress and ensuing projects meet delivered to their deadlines and to budget. I believe people are as important as processes and have a long career history of creating and managing programmes and projects which provide learning & development opportunities for people both within their organisations and externally with partners, developing new skills and contacts which they can embed back into their organisations and communities to improve practice. I have created and developed knowledge exchange programmes, regional training programmes, run residentials workshops and managed volunteers and trainees. I have been an accredited QCF Assessor for traineeships for the Future Curator programme, mentoring trainees through their development and assessing their work.
