  • Trupanion - Medical Insurance For Your Pet
    Web Optimization Lead
Trupanion - Medical Insurance For Your Pet Jan 2017 - Apr 2020
    Seattle, Washington, Us
With only 1% of cats and dogs insured in the United States, and 2% insured in Canada, I found myself in the unique position to drive extreme growth in a new and much-loved industry.I’ve built a testing backlog that ranks high priority opportunities, ensuring we have a test on deck for every digital channel. I used Optimziely to test quick wins and long-term strategies that are founded on conversion principles and are designed to increase qualified leads and drive conversions. Not all of my tests could be winners, though I took learnings and actionable insights away from every single test I ran. I have contributed to a number of experiments that lead to a measurable increase in conversion: managing a homepage redesign, reducing friction in the enrollment path, and saving abandoned web leads. Once a test won with statistical significance, I used our CMS, Sitecore, to implement the winning variation on our website. To share content throughout the customer journey, I also helped build emails, smart lists, and flows in Marketo and test content and headlines in PPC and display ads.I've made good use of my English and Communications double major. Based on survey results, focus groups, and competitor intel, I’ve outlined a content strategy that seeks to fill in the educational gaps that keep people from buying. To realize this goal, I managed a team to identify, design, build, and share our content in a way that that improves lead quality and increases conversion.
  • Mixpo (Later Acquired By Netsertive)
    Marketing Coordinator
Mixpo (Later Acquired By Netsertive) Sep 2015 - Nov 2016
First hired as a temporary employee, I was brought on full-time after assisting with Mixpo's new website, managing CRM processes, and launching a lead generation marketing campaign related to a new product offering. My role involved collaborating with multiple departments in an effort to present a unified and compelling message to current and potential clients. I provided the sales staff with enablement materials including decks, packages, and one sheets, made demo requests to the design team, kept materials to product's standards, and met with account managers to confirm the relevance of such materials. For the benefit of customer service I worked with the dev team to manage our partner portal, creating and updating electronic resources. I managed Mixpo's marcomm offering and sent weekly communication to clients regarding feature updates, training opportunities, company news, and best practice digital ads for any vertical or seasonal event. I've also successfully launched Mixpo content that I have helped write, edit, and review. In part, I have promoted these campaigns by sending emails to all lead gen contacts, sharing via paid social media, incorporating content into blog posts, working campaigns into conference sponsorship. I also helped manage corporate marketing tasks by arranging conference sponsorships, submitting our partners for advertising awards, writing and planning blog content, monitoring the corporate website, creating one-off landing pages with Act-On, and monitoring Google Analytics.I was constantly learning and growing from this position. I attended conferences, familiarized myself with the ad tech industry, and explored a variety of marketing systems. My biggest takeaway is on the state of digital advertising and how publishers and advertisers alike can succeed in a constantly shifting digital climate.

    Baltimore, Md, Us
My first professional role at Maryland Nonprofits taught me a lot about what I wanted from my career. As a summer intern, my responsibilities included: researching potential funders, building company and individual donor profiles, imputing company information into Dynamics CRM, writing and editing departmental updates and recognition letters, and using Excel to input financial information into internal documents. The actual work itself was tolerable, but I was captivated by the company's mission and that made the work more enjoyable. I was also surrounded by supportive co-workers who would teach and encourage me to take on projects I enjoyed. I credit this job with my desire to work for companies with a larger purpose and a supportive, collaborative team.
