SNV Netherlands Developlment Organisation Uganda

Supported SNV Uganda on Business development and Private sector Advisory services including its SUPREME partners (World Vision, ZOA and RICE West Nile) on the 4 year EUTF funded project for refugeese and host communities using the private sector delivery approach to stimulate economic development in the region

Northern Region

Implemented with joint partnership from the government of Uganda through the Ministry of education and sports; Business Technical Vocation Education and Technical Training (BTVET) section, the support to skillng Uganda (SSU) focuses on strengthening skills development for employment and job creations for refugees and host communities in the Northern.

Country Wide Position

With direct supervision of the Country Manager the task involved nurturing new strategic partnerships and strengthening existing ones focusing on vocational skills training for the youth with skills development that match Labour market demands. The 5 year phase 2 funding from Mastercard Foundation supported 13 vocational training institutes in central.

Acholi And West Nile Regions

Strenthened Entreprenuership and business startups using scalable approaches from STRYDE 1 targeting youth in the North and West Nile regions with partnership from Mastercard Foundation

Northern Uganda (East Acholi)

Support to Making markets work for the poor- M4P (Revitalizing agricultural Incomes and New Markets -RAIN) a post war program funded by USDA in East Acholi. The project focussed on building input and output markets through partnership from large scale seed companies, and grain dealers across the country. It also aimed at promotion of improved and modern.

Kibaale, Hoima, Masindi And Amuru

General management of the private seed Industry in Uganda with the 2nd biggest Seed Comapany under the Umbrella of the Uganda Seed trade Association -USTA

Masindi And Kiryandongo Districts

Management of the commercial grain / seed bulking and Marketing scheme with outgrowers contracted by large grain dealers and seed companies in Uganda. An Initiative by Build Africa Institution development.

Supported commercial extension and Innovations adoption in agronomy and post harvest handling practices in the grain and seed industry with Pro poor farmers in Masindi District.
