• Successfully developed methods to determine dynamic fracture toughness of polymer composites in Mode-I & Mode-II as part of a research project funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) in collaboration with CIDESI, Mexico.• Conducted quasi-static tests on polymer composites in accordance with ASTM standards.• Instrumented and tested polymer composites for their material properties at high strain-rate on Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) set-up.• Successfully simulated the Split Hopkinson test using FEA to obtain dynamic material properties during impact. • Proposed methods to obtain intra-laminar fracture toughness of composites in Mode-II.
