•Lead the domain of Electrical Works and Site Electrical Engineers for biomass-to-renewable energy projects to ensure smooth execution of electrical tasks.•Manage the process of bringing 11/33 KV power to the plant from the substation, including liaising with state electricity board personnel.•Prepare electrical design basis and working models for LT/HT and control room layouts, with knowledge of substation design principles, including layout, equipment selection, and protection schemes for electrical substations.•Handle transformer sizing, load calculation, protection coordination, grounding and bonding, electrical code compliance, power distribution design, single-line diagrams, energy efficiency considerations, and lightning protection.•Oversee planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and completion of all electrical procurement and construction works related to waste-to-energy plants.•Bridge the gap between designing, engineering, and site teams by advising on electrical aspects in alignment with site realities, scope of electrical works, and feasibility.•Serve as an advisor to the Project Team and Design Team on cost estimation, cost control techniques, and modern trends in electrical works (design and execution).•Establish SOPs, protocols, and control measures to ensure smooth execution of works.•Conduct QA/QC audits and inspections at sites and provide advice on process improvement, capacity building, and innovative ideas.•Punch List Resolution & HAZOP Walkthrough: Identify and resolve any outstanding issues or deficiencies (punch list items) in the project to ensure all aspects meet the required standards and specifications before project completion. Conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to systematically review and address potential hazards and operational concerns, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the plant.
