-Formulated and simulated a theory to mitigate false alarms in the Digital Electro Hydraulic Control (DEHC) system for nuclear power plant main turbine control. Enhanced clarity in employee training by resolving issues.-Created circuit schematics for circuit wiring using Lucidchart for DEHC. -Performed comprehensive system walkdowns on critical components within the nuclear power plant to ensure operational integrity, safety compliance, and optimal performance.-Conducted research on innovative Nuclear Measurement and Analysis Control (NUMAC) technology to monitor and control neutron flux in the reactor, seeking approval from the Public Health Committee (PHC). -Coordinated an intern-led philanthropic event and volunteered at We Care of Grundy County.

As part of the CMS collaboration in the HGCAL group at the Northern Illinois Center for Accelerator and Detector Development (NICADD) at NIU, I was involved in developing next-generation detector technologies for the Compact Muon Solenoid - High-Granularity Calorimeter (CMS - HGCAL) as part of the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) upgrade for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). My contributions included developing and optimizing new technological prototypes in preparation for a full-scale version designed to detect high-energy charged particle trajectories. This included utilizing fast plastic scintillator readouts with Enhanced Specular Reflector (ESR) coupled with Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPM's) to meet the demands of the HL-LHC's higher particle collision rates, which present significant challenges in radiation tolerance and event pileup for detectors. NIU is recognized as the leading university-based accelerator physics group in Illinois. The innovative detector technology that has been made from our group has the potential to make a significant impact on particle physics. Once HL-LHC is operational, it could lead to groundbreaking discoveries that might redefine our understanding of the universe and contribute substantially to the field.Additionally, I contributed to ProtoDUNE, a prototype detector for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) at CERN. My work involved designing light guides coupled with Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs) to enhance light collection efficiency by converting VUV light to visible light. This project focused on optimizing the system's sensitivity and provided crucial insights into the interaction between materials and light transmission efficiency, essential for enhancing detector performance. DUNE aims to address several fundamental questions, such as why matter prevailed over antimatter, study neutrino oscillations, investigate CP violation, and explore beyond Standard Model (BSM) physics.
