About Kaushik Patel
After completing my Degree in 2004, I was offered a opportunity by EDS to work on a mail migration for DWP. Within a few weeks of being an engineer I was asked to join the team leaders who were responsible for managing the process which meant scheduling appointments, coordinating engineers on the floor and reporting back daily statistics to the client.After just 2 months here the PM asked if I would like to move to a more high profile project in which I would be managing and completing a desktop rollout, I grabbed this opportunity with both hands and quickly showed my potential to my peers and clients who gave me full responsibility of control over the whole process from creating images to actually placing the new machines on the end users desks.After this project completed I found a full time roll as a desktop engineer at EQ Systems. Being part of a smaller team meant I could build on not just my desktop support experience but also server side knowledge including building as well as deployment and maintenance. I worked here for 3 years and changed roll half way through to support services manager. This gave me the added responsibility of managing staff, training them and also carrying out appraisals.I ran my own business which provided IT support including but not limited to network setup and management, procurement of new hardware. However with such a saturated market I struggled to acquire clients and make feasible revenue and so had to go back into employment.I have since had several roles in IT and feel that to these companies I have not only brought along with me my IT skills but also my strong focus on customer service which means that I will go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure positive results and end user satisfaction.I'm the kind of person that when I am asked something if I do not know the answer I will go away and find it so that when I am asked again I will be able to answer.

I started at Nektan as a Service Desk Analyst as part of a team of 4. This has since reduced to just me and I handle all the day to day support requests from our offices in London, Gibraltar and Las Vegas.
