Leading efforts at Tynker to support educators, schools and school districts in their efforts to bring equitable coding education to their students.

Served as Chairperson of the Foundation's Board of Trustees. Defined future strategy for impactful and measurable philanthropic activity. Designed the Foundation's inaugural Pathfinders Summer Institute, a weeklong Computer Science and Maker Education professional development program. The Institute was hosted at IU Bloomington and attracted nearly 600 K-12 teachers from around the US attending 19 different tracks.Over tenure with the Foundation, oversaw $19M in grants to over 40 organizations nationwide, including large strategic engagements with multiple highly regarded national non-profits. As of 2017, funds benefited over 20,000 schools and nearly five million students.

Launched the new Infosys Foundation USA. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 grant-making organization supporting access to effective computer science and Maker education for K-12, higher education and workforce development in under-represented communities in the US.Built highly engaged ecosystem including university researchers, non-profits, educators and government policy makers. Architected a first of its kind partnership with the National Science Foundation for collaborative crowdsourced funding of teacher education. Conceived and executed the #WhyIMake campaign, a public service campaign to drive awareness of the Maker movement. Working with celebrity spokespeople, ran campaign with over 214M TV impressions in first six months. The campaign is still live and adds ~6 million impressions per week at no added marginal cost. The Foundation was acknowledged by senior technology policy staff at the Obama White House as one of the most influential and effective funders in CS Education in the US.

Frequent speaker at startup, big data and industry focused events. Company executive and member of SAP’s Extended Global Leadership Team.

Conceived, designed and launched initiative for SAP’s first programmatic engagement with the global startup community. This program was designed to identify, recruit, enable and help go to market big data and real-time analytics startups to build on SAP HANA, SAP’s flagship in-memory data management system. Recruited 1,800+ startups into the program in two years. Delivered 100+ certified solutions. Enabled $20M in startup revenue in 2014. Oversaw 120 startup outreach events in 70 cities. Startups in the program represented 55 countries and 22 different industries and lines of business. The program was referred to by Hasso Plattner, SAP Co-Founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, as “One of the best ideas at SAP of the past ten years” and by Holger Mueller from Constellation Research as “probably the largest ecosystem development that has happened in the high tech industry ever.”

Led multiple board level strategic initiatives. These high visibility projects were notable in their diversity and characterized by ideation and execution in very short cycles with near-zero error margins across ad-hoc global project teams assembled for each project. Defined and delivered saphana.com, a comprehensive content site for SAP HANA. This included conception, project planning, selection of global project team, vendor evaluation, infrastructure procurement and deployment, design review, content creation and sourcing of ~400 pieces of new content, marketing and launch planning in less than four weeks. Project was delivered on schedule and under budget for high profile launch at TechEd in September 2011. The site supported nearly 2M visitors per year.Supported board level messaging and keynotes at numerous SAPPHIREs, SAP’s largest customer events. Worked on core team for primary stakeholder, Dr. Vishal Sikka (Member of Executive Board, SAP AG and Head of Products and Innovation), to ensure pitch perfect messaging to audiences of thousands of SAP customers and partners and tens of thousands of attendees.

Founded IT services firm offering infrastructure management to businesses in the LA area. Grew this professional services firm to 14 employees with 75% of revenue as contracted recurring revenue. Managed P&L. Hired and trained delivery and leadership teams. Developed business processes, including service delivery processes, to facilitate business continuity and continuous improvements in service quality. Worked with leadership at multiple client sites in CIO capacity to restructure overall IT architecture in order to improve functionality, security and user satisfaction. Firm was acquired in 2011.

Developed and implemented strategy to attract enterprise clients. Recruited and led 12 person sales team. Closed $3M+ in high margin revenue in value added hardware and solution sales. Sourced and managed key accounts such as Launch Media (now Yahoo! Music), Hollywood.com (a division of Hollywood Media Corp), LA Unified School District, Pop.com (a startup venture from DreamWorks Studios), Conde Nast Publications and Fandango.

Assisted the Network Administrator with server administration, desktop support and network troubleshooting for the USC Cinema School's 100 plus Macintosh network.

Designed and fabricated a low-cost mechanical vibrator on a sewing machine chassis for the production of micro-concrete roofing tiles. The machine went to production and was used by Development Alternatives as a means of augmenting income for women in rural areas.

Programmed video games for Colour Genie India to be distributed as OEM software bundle provided to home users. For vintage computer enthusiasts, the Z80 based Colour Genie had a 2.2 MHz processor and a whopping 16K of RAM. Taught programming classes for Colour Genie users.
