• Senior architect for The Home Depot’s Customer Order Management (COM) platform for interconnected retail.• Led application efforts to migrate COM (with Sterling Commerce) from Exadata to commodity RAC setup and helped roll out to all of Home Depot’s USA stores.• Leveraged best of breed NoSQL solutions to improve responsiveness, resiliency and reliability of the COM platform.• Recruited a high caliber DBA team for Oracle and delivered ongoing DB, platform/infrastructure and HA improvements for COM & Sterling deployments.• Championed APM strategy for COM and consistent tooling for the same. Rollout in progress.• Tuned Sterling Order Management performance environment DB (4-node Oracle Exadata platform) to handle 10X more load within same footprint, followed with changes to production.• Trained operations & monitoring team on troubleshooting techniques and automation to identify and remediate problems in production. Provided support for production incidents, outages and presented root cause analysis to senior management.• Recommended updates to n-tier deployment, reduced memory footprint by > 30%, eliminated nightly restarts, remediated numerous out-of-memory situations by identifying and recommending fixes.
