Selected out of a pool of over 200 students to record and share the experience of coming to Toronto as an International student from Singapore. Collaborated with other students who were a part of the same documentary to share our experiences to see the similarities as well as the diversity.

I created websites for the School's projects such as the Earth week that was hosted during the pandemic. The website acted as a hub for students to be able to present their projects with greater convenience during the virtual school setting during the time of the pandemic. I worked as the leader of the group that was responsible for the creation and perfection of this website. As our school was stuck in an online setting due to the pandemic, I decided to form a group where my friends and I could give and take help from each other. We decided that the easiest method was to create a discord server where we could create channels and make everything streamlined and efficient in terms of questions being posted and answered. This worked well for some time but I later decided that it just wasn't effective enough. I started recording lectures and short videos on… Show more As our school was stuck in an online setting due to the pandemic, I decided to form a group where my friends and I could give and take help from each other. We decided that the easiest method was to create a discord server where we could create channels and make everything streamlined and efficient in terms of questions being posted and answered. This worked well for some time but I later decided that it just wasn't effective enough. I started recording lectures and short videos on certain theories or topics taught in class that my friends found challenging in order to support them during virtual learning. I continued that even after I returned to Singapore during the pandemic and kept supporting my friends though means such as Zoom and other forms of video calling. This was just done to help my friends and help me get a better understanding of the topics myself as well. It was quite successful as I was able to help my friends increase their scores in the classes I helped them with and also help create a stronger understanding of the topics myself. Show less

The NAQT is a Worldwide organisation that holds quiz tournaments. In AISC, I felt that we did not have enough clubs that were based on academics and truly explored academia in a fun and exciting way. To change the Status quo around academics, I founded this club with the help of one of my colleagues and a supervising teacher.
